Kariran / Kachiran Headquarters

A business and architectural brief that reframed a legacy manufacturer as a product-service ecosystem before architectural design began.

Project context & question

Kachiran needed more than a renovated headquarters. The strategic question was how a legacy sewing-machine manufacturer could evolve from a product-based business into a product-service system that supports learning, fashion, content, innovation, and collaboration.

RootPlat intervention

Before architectural design, RootPlat studied the business layers and operational scenarios, defined the transformation strategy, and translated it into an architectural brief shared by the client and NextOffice.

Strategic approach

The framework used forward integration to connect the headquarters with a fashion incubator, sewing academy, and creative-content hub, aligning business resilience with spatial experience and brand renewal.

What we delivered

  • Business and product-service-system study
  • Operational scenarios and user programmes
  • Strategic architectural brief
  • Client-architect alignment and design support

Project outcome

The architect received a programme grounded in business logic rather than a generic office brief, giving the headquarters a defined role in Kachiran’s future service ecosystem.
